ERIC MOERMAN’S
12.5” FORK MOUNTED
NEWTONIAN
It was July of 2006,
when I had the opportunity to touch base on Cloudy Nights' website with another ATM'er by the name of Eric Moerman who
was in the process of constructing an equatorial Fork
Mount for his 12.5" Newtonian Reflector. I was very much inspired by his efforts
and designs in building such a grand instrument totally out of metal
parts he milled in a machine shop himself. This undertaking definitely calls for
recognition for all the astronomical community to see. So with Eric's permission,
I have posted a number of photos for all to see and admire. Please click on the

CURT
WALKER’S
ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY
AND
8" f/5 ASTROGRAPH
PROJECT
Back in February of 2007,
I met a young man by the name of Curt Walker who expressed a deep and
genuine thirst to learn the ropes within the realm of amateur astronomy.
Within a very short span of time, it is amazing how vivaciously Curt
absorbed and put to use the vast amount of knowledge he attained, which has propelled him to phenomenal heights in the
realms of astrophotography, as well as amateur telescope making. With
his new 8" f/5 Astrograph under construction, I invite you to check this
sampling of images he generated and a link taking you to his Astrograph
project. Please

his capabilities.
