With its lovely MGF2
anti-reflection coating applied by Majestic Optical Coatings, here is
the flint element for the Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" refractor. To see how
well these coatings work, check out the difference between the
purplish coated area and the edge strips where the element was
supported in the coating vacuum chamber. Those strip areas were not
coated and reflect quite a bit of light as compared to the
anti-reflective coated area. If you are interested in having your optics coated, or would like to contact Jeff Decker at Majestic, please click the link below: Majestic Optical Coatings Website Now with both elements for the Jaegers 6" f/10 "Gelinda J. Dawson" refractor coated on all four surfaces, it is time to fabircate the custom made objective cell for it. |
