The only area of the focuser support/ collimation ring that required
flocking was the ring's interior surface with the three plugged holes.
Not quite cured, the shine you see in the image with turn dull.
This completes the flocking of the interior surfaces of the
focuser backplate and support/ collimation ring. Later I will be
covering up the the flocked areas once they have cured, followed by
removal of the tape from the currently covered surfaces to paint them
with Rustoleum Black Hammered finished spray paint. Should look great
once I am done.
BUT, before we go down that road, I will take
care of prepping the objective cell components for finishing. |
