Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" OTA Construction - Rear Lens Cell (prepping to prime - 1)

Prepping Rear Objective Cell for flocking - 1 (Click to see an enlarged image.)

With the finishing of the front lens cell parts complete, it is time to move on to the rear cell. This portion of the lens cell assembly (which connects to the front end of the main tube), will also allow for the attachment of the adjustable/ collimation front lens cell containing the objective lens elements.

To prep the rear cell, I will buff its entire surface to a matte finish with a Scotch-Brite pad. The alcohol will be used afterwards to remove the residue.
