With the hacksaw blade returned to its handle, serious cutting begins... (Click for enlarged view)

 

After the hacksaw blade was reinstalled into its handle, and the plywood board moved to on side out of the way, serious cutting commenced using the groove created. To complete the cutting process, I made progressive shallow cuts into the tube while rotating it until it was separated.
