OTA Finishing and Assembly - Primed Tube Ready for First Coat of Paint

Hung from the ceiling of my garage from chains, here we see the sanded and epoxy laminated main telescope tube after receiving a couple of coats of gray primer. The Sonotube is now ready for its first coat of Rustoleum Sail Blue (a.k.a., Vega Blue) spray paint. To protect the Krylon Ultra Flat Black flocked interior of the tube, a layer of newspaper was used. In the lower right-hand corner of the photo above, you can make out the cradle covered in plastic to protect it from the over spray.
