RA and DEC Axis's Braking Systems - Completed (Assembled) RA Axis Brake

Another bottom view of the unfinished Right Ascension Axis Braking System, but with Teflon pads in place. Note that the circular openings in the front and back sections of the wood housing are of larger diameter. The larger openings in the wood sections only allow the RA Axis shaft to make contact with the Teflon pads. Sorry for using a photo of the completely assembled brake system without the holes for the screw and spring tensioning units. Now we are ready to sand and varnish the piece.
