After rough cutting, I trued the surfaces using a drum sander in my drill press to contour the inside circular cuts and outer perimeter surfaces. The inside diameter of the rings are 1/10th" of an inch larger in diameter than the main tube's outside diameter to allow for the addition of adhesive felt liners.
