Here is one of the hinge plates in the process of being rounded. As you can see, I drew the shape of the ends rounded to follow the contour of the cradle ring hinge connecting ends. NOTE: Please use heavy gloves and proper eye protection when grinding these pieces. During grinding, they get pretty hot and send aluminum particles airborne. Also, use a non-ferrous grinding wheel for this process. I did not, and placed myself in harms way.
