In knowing that the objective end of the main tube was cut to precision, I pretty much knew that the objective cell would seat very straight as long as the cell itself did not have any imperfections. To connect the thermo-plastic objective cell to the main tube, I drilled three 3/32" of an inch holes where the holes in the cell would line up. Being so small, I tapped the holes in the main tube with threads using the same type of machine bolts that I plan to use to secure the cell to the tube with. As you may recall, I had to sand the interior portion of the objective cell that goes onto the main tube to make it fit properly.
