With painting of the main tube complete, and after a few days to allow it to THOROUGHLY cure, it was time to prep it for a clear coat finish. To aid the clear coat in adhering well to the main tube's paint finish, I lightly buffed its glossy paint surface with a Scotch-Brite® Heavy Duty scrubbing pad. DO NOT go overboard with this process. You just want to dull the finish.

NOTE: PLEASE ALLOW YOUR PAINT FINISH TO FULLY CURE AND OUTGAS BEFORE APPLING CLEAR COAT !!!
