Here
we have the right ascension axis plus the top and bottom flanges that
will be incorporated into the Fork Mount Head. The shaft (which is made
from T-6061 aluminum) will slide into the large 2 1/4" I.D. Hanger
Bearings of the lower Right Ascension Axis Support Housing.
One of the above pictured flanges will be concealed inside of the RA
Axis Box on the
top section, while the other will be externally mounted to the bottom
section of the RA Axis Box. The flanges are comprised of two components,
one is the flange itself, and the other is one half of a 3 1/2"
pipe threaded on both ends and cut in half.
