photo displays the top of the RA Axis Box of the completed Fork Mount.
As you can see, the right ascension axis is revealed in the central hole
just below the
surface top of the box. The hole will be capped off later in the
finishing process. Please note that all wood screw heads have been
recessed throughout the mounts construction to allow for filling with wood putty, or plugging with wood dowels
to create a more eye pleasing facade.
BTW - The mount is actually
standing independently on its 2" inch diameter right ascension axis! The fork is definitely
well balanced.
