We are now approaching the total completion of the SAO 10" inch f/5.6 'Gary Barabino' Newtonian Fork Mounted Reflection. In these last segments of the construction process, we will talk about some of the major steps that were involved in finishing and assembling the telescope. It has been quite a long time since the first idea came about to construct this telescope back in 1986. It is now 2007, and the dream has become a reality! Above you will find the links to each of the components finishing pages, which are comprised of sections covering the Fork Mount Components Finishing, Guide Scope Restoration, and OTA Finishing and Assembly.

I would like to thank everyone who offered their assistance and support to this terrific project. A special thanks to Haldun Menali - Thank You for your awesome support and help during the initial construction stages of the Fork Mount. Your insight proved highly valuable. Eric Moerman, for you ingenuity and skills in constructing the custom clock drive. Gary Parkerson, Managing Editor of Astronomy Technology Today magazine, for publishing my project for the entire astronomical community to see. Last, but not least, I want to especially thank my colleague and mentor Gary Barabino - For getting me started in this great hobby, and overseeing me through this project to the end. Therefore, this telescope is dedicated to him. God Bless You All...
