Gary Barabino gave a presentation on his experience with Hurricane Katrina to the "Ponchartrain Astronomical Society" on August 24, 2007 at 7:30 P.M. CDT. The presentation entitled "The Vega Observatory - The Katrina Experience" covered the destruction of Gary's private observatory by Hurricane Katrina, and its ongoing resurrection.
