Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" OTA Construction - Adjustable Lens Cell Components (Unpainted - Back)

Unpainted Lens Cell components fabricated by Eric Moerman for the Jaegers 6" f/10 GJD Refractor. (Click to see an enlarged image.)

This is a back side view of the collimatable Lens Cell components for the Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" refractor. From left to right are the transition piece, front lens cell holder and retaining ring. The transition was designed with simplicity in mind. The transition piece is beveled at a 45-degree angle as it goes from the 7" main tube to the 8" dew shield. The front lens cell design was made based on the objective cell on my Carton 100mm f/13 "Mary Dawson" refractor. Unlike most other front lens cell support sections, my cell's collimation rim sits in front of the objective. You will see what I mean late on in the build. Now, let's check out the focuser.
