Here we have two 7"
diameter 60" long aluminum tubes; the one on the right being the tube
I will be using for the "GJD". I am showcasing both of these tubes,
because the one on the left I purchased from Hastings and it arrived
in deplorable condition, while the other one on the right, that I
purchased from Air Flow Systems, is of much better quality. It has a
wall thickness of .062" and is nearly twice as thick as the one I
purchased from Hastings, which arrived warped.
The preparation
of the Main Tube is going to be a beast. There is a lot of work I have to do to it, to get it ready to receive the objective
cell, focuser and baffle rack assembly, etc. So here we go!... |
