Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" OTA Construction - The Main Tube (one of these is not like the other)

Here we have two 7" diameter 60" long aluminum tubes; the one on the right being the tube I will be using for the "GJD". I am showcasing both of these tubes, because the one on the left I purchased from Hastings and it arrived in deplorable condition, while the other one on the right, that I purchased from Air Flow Systems, is of much better quality. It has a wall thickness of .062" and is nearly twice as thick as the one I purchased from Hastings, which arrived warped.

The preparation of the Main Tube is going to be a beast. There is a lot of work I have to do to it, to get it ready to receive the objective cell, focuser and baffle rack assembly, etc. So here we go!...
