Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" OTA Construction - Front Lens Cell Parts (surfaces prepped for priming)

Prepping Front Lens Cell and threaded Retaining Ring for painting - 3 (Click to see an enlarged image.)

In this image, you can see both the objective cell retaining ring and the front lens cell holder ready for priming after being buffing with a 600-grit Scotch-Brite pad. Note: The threads on both parts will be masked off to negate priming.

As I did with the lens cell for the Carton 100mm f/13 "Mary Dawson" refractor by having Brian Choin sign and date the cell he milled for me, I asked Eric Moerman to do the same for the Jaegers 6" f/10 "Gelinda J. Dawson" refractor. They both should be very proud of their work as I am in utilizing their craftsmanship in the makeup of my telescope projects.

FYI - In some circumstances, there are some amateurs who will blacken the outer edges of their objective elements to aid in contrast emphasized  views of celestial objects. But in this case, I will not be doing so.
