Right Ascension Axis Support Housing - Bottom Panel

Right Ascension Support Housing Bottom Panel (Click for enlarged view)

This is the bottom section of the RA Support Housing. Once again like the other sides of the housing, the bottom is made up of two layers of 3/4" birch plywood - glued and screwed. It is also a critical component in that it will serve a couple of paramount functions. One is to help in maintaining the structural integrity of the RA Support Housing by preventing it from collapsing, and for attaching the braking system, which will be covered later. To see the placement of the braking system, please refer to the Right Ascension Axis Support Housing design plans. The approximate dimensions of the Right Ascension Axis Support Housing as shown below:

Outside Layer: 10 1/2" x 7 1/8"

Inside Layer: 9 1/4" x 7 1/8"
