OTA Finishing and Assembly - Unfinished Front End Tube Handles

To help in maneuvering the SAO 10" Newtonian OTA to point at those awesome celestial objects, I decided to make some handles from solid oak to do the job. Once sanded and varnishing, they will add great functionality and looks to this fine instrument. A closer look will show how I contoured the attaching base of the handles to the shape of the tube lending to a more fit and finished look.
