| A
closer inspection of the sanded tube reveals just how irregular the
surface of a Sonotube really is. Darker spotty areas show where the sand
paper did not reach. By sanding the Sonotube surface to bring the
raised areas down to the deeper ones, it will definitely help in producing
a smoother overall finish. But I refrained from removing too much surface
material. Remember, this tube is only a quarter inch in thickness, and
over-sanding would degrade its structural strength.
