Looking
quite impressive mounted, the Tasco 6TE-5 Guide Scope will first be
optically aligned in the bracket using the six adjustment screws with
the SAO 10" Newtonian's OTA. It gives me a great feeling to see
this little refractor restored and put to good use. Since the focuser
has an opening for .965" equipment, I will use a hybrid diagonal so
I can use my 1.25" oculars. The 1.25" eyepieces are of much
better quality then the standard .965" units that originally came
with the telescope. Now we need to keep that pesky dust off of its
optics. |
