Two Part Glaze Coat Epoxy used on Sonotube
Two Part Glaze Coat Epoxy used on Sonotube
This is a photo of the two-part epoxy I used to coat my Sonotube®. The shrink-wrapped set cost me about $15.00 at Home Depot®. You may want to invest in a better brand of marine grade epoxy, such as 'West Systems' . But since I am trying to keep my expenses to a minimum, and I don't plan on launching my scope onto Hillsborough Bay ;~), the Glaze Coat® stuff was sufficient. Just thoroughly mix equal parts of the stuff and you have above 15 to 20 minutes to apply before initial setting starts.

Please remember curing epoxy generates heat and caustic fumes. So exercise extreme caution and read and understand the instructions provide with this product.
