In Part 2, we move on to the construction of the leg components. You will note that a great deal of care and material selection was done to make these legs last a lifetime. Only none corroding metals (aluminum, and stainless steel) were used for critical parts. Where easily replaceable, zinc plated hardware was used. Though I have spent much time in conveying the overall fabrication of this tripod, with careful review of the details, you will find that the North Star II field tripod is an easy project to tackle over a couple of weekends.
