With the center line accurately established along the center of the dovetail plate, I marked, drilled and tapped a hole at both ends of the center line of the dovetail plate for the installation of the dovetail bar. Two other holes without threads will be drilled along the center line between the threaded holes outside of the middle of the dovetail plate for addition hardware to secure the dovetail bar to the plate. I know it's overkill, but it reduces flexure of the dovetail bar tremendously.
