Carton 100mm f/13 "MD" OTA Construction - Preparing the Main Tube - Sanding (Course Grit)

Coarse grit sanding of the main tube. (Click to see an enlarged image)

Time for a little elbow grease now. With the protective end caps in place, I begun sanding away of the manufacturing extrusion lines and other surface anomalies from the main tube starting with a course 100-grit sandpaper by hand. Upon closer inspection of the photo (click image to enlarge), you will note that coarse paper left behind a brushed finish. The next smaller grit in line (220-grit) should do well in making them fade partially as I progress through successively finer grades of sanding materials with the goal of attaining a matte finish.
