Time for a little elbow
grease now. With the protective end caps in place, I begun sanding away
of the manufacturing extrusion lines and other surface anomalies from the main tube starting
with a course 100-grit sandpaper by hand. Upon closer inspection of
the photo (click image to enlarge), you will note that coarse paper
left behind a brushed finish. The next smaller grit in line (220-grit) should
do well in making them fade partially as I progress through
successively finer grades of sanding materials with the goal of
attaining a matte finish. |
