Carton 100mm f/13 "MD" OTA Construction - Preparing the Main Tube - Capping Up the Ends 2

Preparing the main tube for priming and painting. Capping off of the objective end. (Click to see an enlarged image)

As I did with the focuser end of the main tube, a cap was also made to cover the objective end of the main tube in preparation for priming and painting. Note that there are 2" openings in both caps. This was done so that the main tube can have a section of PVC tubing inserted so that the tube can be hung horizontally and easily rotated during priming and painting. But, before any drop of primer or paint is applies to this tube, it must be sanded and cleaned thoroughly. That will be our next step.
