Carton 100mm f/13 "MD" OTA Construction - Preparing the Main Tube - Ready for Priming

As I have done with all of my other telescope main tubes, I hung the main tube for the VSC/ SAO Carton 100mm f/13 "Mary Dawson" refractor horizontally supported with an apparatus made from chains hung from the ceiling of my garage and PVC tubing. This device made it easier to paint and create a more uniform finish to the tubes. All I had to do was rotate the main tubes as I painted. The tarp in the photo was user to cover area behind the tube to prevent overspray from getting on everything.
