| I initially
designed the Cradle Rings for the 127mm f/9.4 refractor OTA on paper
based on the type used by many high-end telescope parts manufacturers
such as ADM, Parallax, and William Optics, but these will be made from
teakwood. In the diagram above, I have notated the dimensions of the
rings as they will apply to my scope. If you like this design, it can be
altered to suit your needs. Please take note that the inside diameter of
the cradle rings are 1/10th" of an inch larger to accommodate the
felt liner.
