127mm f/9.4 OTA Construction - 127mm f/9.4 Objective Lens (unwrapped-front)

Here is a photo of the unboxed and unwrapped 127mm objective as it arrived from SurpluShed. The doublet is mounted in a rather well made black thermo-plastic lens cell that can not be collimated. The coatings on all four surfaces of the lenses possess a purplish lavender hue, as can be seen in the picture above. This is much like those of the Meade 127ED of old.
