Here is a front view of
the completed rear cell for the Carton 100mm f/13 objective. The
rear cell was design to accommodate a 6" OD x 9" L dew shield. On
the other end, the opening was milled a few thousands of an inch in
order to mate it to the main tube. The three holes will be part of
the collimation system that will allow push/ pull adjustment of the
front cell holding the objective lens. the inner recess will allow
the front cell containing the objective to loosely fit within its
confines. Upon closer inspection you will also note that Brian Choin
engaged his name and date on the bottom rim of the recess to
authenticate the piece. I love giving credit when and where credit
is due, and Brian truly deserves it. |
