Carton 100mm f/13 "MD" OTA Construction - Felt Linings for Carton Cradle Rings - Cutting
 

Adhesive backed felt strips applied to cradle ring halves. (Click to see an enlarged image)

 
The heavy adhesive backed felt strips were attached to the inside walls of the Carton cradle rings. The strips were so thick that it took some effort to get them to retain the curve shape and hold onto the ring walls. Nevertheless, once the telescope OTA is mounted within the cradle rings, it will aid in locking the felt strip in place. Time to attach the pairs together with hinge plates.
