The image
above shows one of the drilled and tapped holes in the Meade 2.7"
inch focuser lined up with it corresponding main tube hole. As you
can see, the focuser mounting holes in the main tube are quite a bit
larger in size as compared to the drilled and tapped hole on the
focuser's flange. This was done because the mounting bolts (as seen
in the previous slide) have a wide flat bottom seat so that they can
be countersunk and make better contact.
