Now that the GSO
focuser-to-main tube adapter is in position, the GSO Crayford
focuser was then mounted to it in preparation to setup and use a
Newtonian reflector laser collimator (in the bolt case with black
lettering on the top) to align the focuser to the tube's
center to effectively center the objective's focal plane. The white
target with blue tape shown in the image above will be attached to
the objective end of the main tube. The center
of the paper target is signified by a small circle with a dot. |
