But
before we can install the Teflon Pivoting Arm brake pads and with the
Declination Axis Brake System flipped over, two T-Nuts are inserted in
the sides of the unit from the inside to receive tension adjustment screws. The
adjustment screws will administer powerful pressure to the Teflon
Pivoting Arm Pads, which will push again declination 5/8"shafts. Each of the arms will have a penny glued to the
outside end of the arm for the tension adjustment screws to push against
preventing damage to the pivoting arms. Teak is a very strong wood, but
I am still a bit apprehensive about the amount pressure that will be
place on them. So in the future I plan to make them from metal.
