Carton 100mm f/13 "MD" OTA Construction - Preparing the Rear Cell - Flocked Flat Black

Rear objective cell flock with flat black enamel. (Click to see an enlarged image)

The completed rear cell is seen here ready for installation onto the main tube. To finish it, I painted all of the primed surfaces with KrylonŽ Camouflage Ultra-Flat Black spray enamel paint. The area not primed were left alone to reveal the natural aluminum patina. But the only area that will be seen from the outside will be the transition piece or area between the dew shield and main tube.

Upon closer inspection of the rear cell you will see Brian's name and the date he made it stamped into the inside outward facing ledge of the rear cell. I asked Brian to do this so others would know who this piece made by, and to give credit where credit is due. I do this with all pieces I have made by others for instruments I build.
