With minimal coaxing of
the loosely fitted focuser-to-main tube adapter and the GSO Crayford
securely locked in place, the laser beam was nearly perfectly
center. Off by such a small amount from center will not have hardly
any affect on image quality for such a slow optical system as this
(f/13). In this state, I carefully tightened the screws of the GSO
focuser-to-main tube adapter to the main tube. With alignment
achieved, the focuser is then removed and the focuser-to-main tube
adapter left attached to the main tube. The main tube was then put aside to
prime and paint later so that I can prep the rear cell. |
