Carton 100mm f/13 "MD" OTA Construction - Reaming of the Rear Cell Test Fit Complete

Rear cell slides on easily after reaming with a drum sander. (Click to see an enlarged image.)

It took me about 45 minutes to grind away enough material before the rear cell would test fit it to the main tube properly. A slow yet rewarding process. My only regret was that did not have Brian remove more material from the rear cell to lighten it. As it stands it is quite a heavy piece. So heavy that the scope balances more near the objective end of the tube. No worries though.
