Now with the rear cell
able to fit the main tube correctly, it was time to test fit the dew
shield to the rear cell. Everything looks good here in this image.
An excellent fit indeed! The dew shield is 9" L x 6" OD x .083" wall
thickness and is made from T-6061 aluminum tubing. Three holes will
be drilled around the base of the dew shield and corresponding ones
into the rear cell at 120-degree angle from one another to receive
1/4-20 thread countersunk pan-head bolts to secure the dew shield in
place. |
