Fork Mount Base Construction - Internal/ External RA Truss Arms  (Part 3)

Alignment of the holes to attach the RA Axis Support Housing between the Truss Arms is very critical to accuracy of the mount. Here we see the left and right Truss Arms stacked together and held precisely in place to be drilled to receive the RA Axis Support Housing. To facilitate the location of the holes, I placed the RA Axis Support Housing (with holes already drilled) on the clamped Truss Arms where it will be installed and traced the holes onto the top layer of the stack (see photo above). Now, we are ready to go to the drill press (or you can use a regular drill using great care to be precise) to drill the two holes. BTW - We have not forgotten about the holes for the dowel-nuts. Holes will be drilled for them also while the Truss Arm sections are clamped.
