If you were to face the completed telescope mount from the front, this would be the left side Truss Arm. Here the woodscrews have been installed to the inside of the Truss Arms to further enhance the strength of the layers. Now we are ready to drill the holes to receive the RA Axis Support Housing and the holes that will allow insertion of the dowel-nuts. The dowel-nuts will be installed at the rear of the Truss Arms just under the area where the RA Axis Support Housing will be installed. This reduces the chance of the Truss Arms being ripped from the Base Platform due to the weight involved in this area. The basic dimensions of these arms are 21" L  (27" overall length allowing for overhang past the the rear of the Base Platform of this section, which will support the RA Axis Support Housing) x 20.5" H x 1.5" thick (double-layer section).
